A collision involving two semitrucks was reported Thursday afternoon on northbound Interstate 605 just south of Interstate 5 in California. The California Highway Patrol classified the incident as a traffic collision with no reported injuries.
The crash was reported at about 3:38 p.m. on Aug. 20, 2026. Both semitrucks were located on the right shoulder of northbound 605, according to the CHP dispatch information.
One party contacted the CHP to report the incident. The available dispatch record did not identify additional vehicles or describe any lane closures connected to the collision.
The CHP dispatch entry provided no further details about the circumstances of the crash or the condition of the vehicles. No injuries were reported in the initial incident classification.
