A hit-and-run involving a silver Toyota SUV was reported Wednesday afternoon on northbound Interstate 405 near Interstate 605 in California. The incident was logged at about 3:43 p.m. on Aug. 19, 2026, and no injuries were reported.
The SUV was located on the right shoulder of northbound I-405. The initial location was described as just south of I-605 in the Westminster California Highway Patrol area.
A later dispatch update placed the vehicle near westbound State Route 22, along the northbound 405 corridor. The available CHP information did not identify another vehicle or provide details about the circumstances of the hit-and-run.
Towing assistance was requested for the silver Toyota SUV. CHP recorded the incident as a hit-and-run collision without reported injuries.
