A two-vehicle collision was reported at Walerga Road and Hillsdale Boulevard in California at about 3:40 p.m. on Aug. 18, 2026. The California Highway Patrol classified the incident as involving unknown injuries.
A CHP update one minute later indicated that one vehicle was blocking the center turn lane, also known as a suicide lane. The other vehicle was located in the bicycle lane.
The positions of both vehicles created obstructions in separate parts of the roadway near the intersection. The dispatch did not specify whether either vehicle could be driven away from the scene.
The CHP information did not provide additional details about the vehicles, the people involved, or any medical response. The incident was being handled in the North Sacramento CHP area.
