A hit-and-run collision involving injuries was reported at Mount Baldy Road and Mountain Avenue in California at approximately 10:16 p.m. on Aug. 14, 2026. The California Highway Patrol classified the incident as a hit-and-run with injuries.
The dispatch information identified the intersection as the location of the reported collision. It did not provide descriptions of the involved vehicle or vehicles, the number of people injured, or the circumstances leading up to the crash.
A CHP update issued at about 1:09 p.m. on Aug. 15 stated that a unit was en route to locate the vehicle connected to the incident. The update indicated that the search was continuing nearly 15 hours after the original report.
The dispatch also referenced further handling of the vehicle, but provided no additional publicly usable details about that action. No other information about the vehicle’s location or the identities of those involved was included in the CHP information.
