Modesto, CA (May 27, 2026) – Police say a pedestrian was fatally struck by a car Tuesday night in Modesto. A deadly crash occurred in the 1100 block of Crows Landing Road. Authorities reported that the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Officials have not yet disclosed the name of the deceased. Both the northbound and southbound lanes of Crows Landing Road were closed while investigators examined the scene. Motorists were advised to steer clear of the area and take detours while the investigation was underway. Further information about the driver and the events that led to the crash was not available right away. Investigators are still reviewing evidence linked to the deadly pedestrian collision.
