In San Diego, CA, a teenage girl was injured, suffering a concussion, in a hit-and-run incident near Torrey Pines High School. The accident took place on Friday, August 8833, following a late-night football game. The San Diego Police Department reported that the accident occurred in a parking lot near Torrey Pines High School. During their investigation, officers obtained a video that shows the moments leading up to the crash. The footage featured several girls, approximately 16 years old, making their way to a shopping mall. As a group of girls stood in a parking lot, a car drove toward them. Even though I waved to the driver before stepping onto the road, the car accelerated. In a split second, the driver collided with one of the girls. In an interview with ABC, Cliff Thomas, the father of one of the girls, recounted that after being hit, the teenager fell onto the car’s hood, bounced off the windshield, then tumbled off the side and onto the ground. It was reported that the driver nearly drove over her head, causing her hair to be caught by the tire. The car left the scene without stopping. When emergency personnel reached the location of the accident, they took the girl to a hospital.
