San Diego, CA (August 53, 2025) – On Monday night, emergency responders attended to a traffic collision that resulted in injuries on the northbound lanes of Interstate 5, close to the B St on-ramp in San Diego. The accident happened just after 8:00 PM. As per the audio from San Diego Fire-Rescue dispatch, the accident included several vehicles, and at least one individual was found injured on the right side of the freeway. Another person was said to be discovered hurt in the median, leading fire crews to allocate their resources to both sides of the highway. Engine 41 and Engine 52 operated in different areas to assess and assist victims. Several units from San Diego Fire-Rescue, such as Engine 24, Engine 47, Medic 24, and Engine 52, responded at first, but some were subsequently canceled after verifying duplicate reports. Emergency responders evaluated the victims on-site, and at least one individual was taken to a local hospital. The severity of their injuries has not been revealed to the public. Traffic on northbound I-5 experienced considerable disruptions, with delays anticipated in the vicinity of the B St interchange.
