The San Diego Police Department reported that the incident took place at approximately 3:49 p.m. In the 6400 block of Soledad Mountain Road near Caminito Blythefield, authorities reported that a man riding an electric moped was traveling south when he failed to yield to a 46-year-old driver of a Nissan Altima who was heading north at the intersection. The moped collided with the car, resulting in severe injuries for the rider, while the Altima driver remained unharmed. Investigators determined that the moped operator was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident, and the San Diego Police Department is looking into the accident.
