Long Beach, CA (October 2, 2025) – A collision involving three vehicles occurred on the eastbound 91 Freeway close to the I-710 interchange early Thursday morning, leading to at least one individual sustaining a head injury, as per reports from the Long Beach Fire Department dispatch. The accident was reported around 7:39 AM, which triggered a multi-unit emergency response that included Engines 11 and 12, Rescue 12, and BLS-13. The cars involved were said to be obstructing the carpool lane, leading to major traffic slowdowns in the area during the morning rush hour. Emergency responders who arrived at the location evaluated several people and confirmed that at least one individual had suffered a head injury. The individual received initial treatment on-site before being taken to a nearby hospital for additional assessment and care. Traffic continued to be sluggish on eastbound CA-91 while teams handled the situation and removed the wrecked vehicles from the road.
