July 24, 2025Barnes County, ND (July 23, 2025) – Emergency responders from the North Dakota Highway Patrol were on the scene of a serious rollover crash reported shortly after midnight Tuesday in Barnes County. The incident occurred at the intersection of County Road 21 and 43rd St SE, just south of Valley City.
According to authorities, a Dodge Ram traveling northbound on County Rd 21 failed to negotiate a curve near the intersection, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and roll over. The crash resulted in severe injuries to both occupants of the truck.
The driver, a 62-year-old man, and the passenger, a 60-year-old man, were initially taken to Mercy Hospital in Valley City. Both were later transported to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo for further treatment due to the seriousness of their injuries.
The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
