On the evening of September 9, 2025, in Orcutt, CA, there was a pedestrian accident involving a teenager close to a high school. Authorities stated that a GMC Yukon was traveling west on Foster when the driver collided with a teenager who was crossing the street on an electric scooter. It is unclear whether the driver halted and stayed at the location. The teenager, identified as a 14-year-old male, was taken to a local hospital.
