A motorcycle accident occurred on State Route 79 in Julian on Thursday evening, resulting in the death of one rider and injuries to another individual. The incident took place on September 4 at 6:06 p.m. The California Highway Patrol was notified about the crash on State Route 43183. CHP officers reported that the incident occurred on the southbound lane of State Route 79, slightly south of Harrison Park Road in the Harrison Park area. During the investigation, officials discovered that the collision involved a motorcycle carrying two riders and an SUV. Observers stated that the SUV crashed into an embankment following the accident. After the collision, two individuals on the motorcycle fell onto the road. Upon arrival, the officers discovered a rider who was unconscious and having difficulty breathing. Emergency medical personnel from the California Highway Patrol and the nearby fire department arrived shortly thereafter. In spite of their attempts, emergency responders declared one motorcyclist dead at the location. The other rider was taken by emergency services to a local hospital for medical care.
