This incident occurred around 3:33 p.m. on September 20. According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident on the Cabrillo (163) Freeway took place in the southbound toll lanes. The accident included a motorcycle, a white Ford Mustang that was parked on the right shoulder, and a black BMW situated on the center divider. Officers who arrived at the scene halted traffic at Miramar Way and closed the transition from the southbound I-43183 HOV lane to the 163 Freeway. Authorities eventually found the motorcycle at the end of the transition ramp leading to Highway 163.
