(Riverside, CA) On Friday afternoon, October 10, a semi-truck crashed into a center divider and struck two other vehicles amid heavy rain, resulting in lane closures and traffic delays on the Interstate 15 Freeway, as reported by the California Highway Patrol. The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. on the northbound 15 Freeway, located slightly to the south of Magnolia Avenue. According to CHP officials, the large truck skidded on wet roads and crashed into the barrier. Consequently, it collided with both a pickup and a car. The semi sustained significant damage to its front end but was not carrying any cargo at the moment. One driver experienced minor injuries but did not need to be hospitalized. Two lanes heading north were briefly shut down while teams addressed the removal of the wreckage and cleanup of the spilled debris. By the middle of the afternoon, traffic was back to normal as all lanes were reopened. Here’s a summary of the accident on the Interstate 15 Freeway. Wet weather frequently contributes to traffic accidents, particularly involving large vehicles.
