One individual lost their life on Monday, December 1, due to a four-car accident on the Santa Monica Freeway in the Mid-City region of Los Angeles, CA. The incident took place at approximately 1:56 a.m., as informed by Officer Megan Curtis from the California Highway Patrol. on the eastbound 10 Freeway close to the South La Brea Avenue exit. Authorities reported that a silver Honda Civic and a dark Infiniti crashed in the center lanes. They subsequently discovered that two more vehicles were involved shortly after, ending up on the right shoulder. A local inhabitant reported listening to an initial collision followed by another vehicle crashing into one of the halted vehicles. First responders arrived at the scene to discover one individual deceased. The identity of the victim has not been disclosed yet, as the family needs to be informed first. Information about further injuries was not available right away. Officials issued a SigAlert soon after the accident, shutting down all lanes of the eastbound freeway for several hours. CHP officers cleared all lanes by 6:35 a.m.
