On Tuesday, November 18, at approximately 1:30 a.m., a pedestrian was fatally struck in a collision on Travis Boulevard near the Interstate 80 overpass in Fairfield, California. The accident involved a driver suspected of driving under the influence, as reported by the Fairfield Police Department. in the westbound lanes of Travis Boulevard close to the eastbound I-80 exit. When officers arrived, they discovered the pedestrian was unresponsive and declared the victim dead at the location. Police reported that the driver, 35-year-old Kyle Dolcee from Fairfield, stayed at the scene. Authorities took him into custody on the suspicion of DUI. The name of the pedestrian has not been made public as the family has not been informed yet. The Major Accident Investigation Team of the department responded and temporarily closed the road and off-ramp for several hours to gather evidence and document the location.
